Description
In 2013, iPlaid was serendipitously created on the Apple iPad as my first digital piece of art and because It was a plaid, I decided to call it iPlaid, in memoriam of Steve Jobs who suffered from pancreatic cancer as did my husband. The acronym "Intuitive Passion Launches an Inner Discovery" rang true as it just happened and allowed me to create a Program that we now call "iPlaid". What does iPlaid mean? The red color denotes a sense of urgency/emergency to rid all of this silent killer. The two yellow dots are eyes watching out for a cure with the cancer in black in the middle. The blue lines denote the blue sky at the end of the tunnel while the neon yellow surrounding the image shows the ray of hope for a cure. This image will make a difference for many including pancreatic cancer patients and families of those who are trying to win the battle now. It is so difficult to explain the reality of this disease. Over 62,000 people will be diagnosed this year. My goal is to help researchers find a cure through Art and with your help, we can all play a part in a hopefully happy ending of saying goodbye to this terrible disease forever. Thank you for your support. Susan Fielder There's no Place like Hope!
